This clinic
is for people who want to prevent a fall, improve balance, or reduce dizziness.
Our physical therapists, Lisa Riolo, PhD, PT, NCS, and Kay Ahaus, MS, PT,
have at least 20 years of experience and specialize in vestibular rehabilitation.
We evaluate and treat people who have had a history of falls, inner ear
disorders, BPPV, gait abnormalities, and balance impairments. We accept
Medicare and Medicaid.

Geriatric
Fall Evaluation and Prevention Clinic
Oklahoma City
The
purpose of this clinic is to provide community elders (65 years and older)
and health care providers with an interdisciplinary resource for fall
evaluation and prevention and recommendations to manage multi-sensory
balance disorders.
Patients
referred to the clinic are interviewed and evaluated by a team of health
professionals with advanced knowledge in geriatrics. The team of caring
professionals includes physical therapists, geriatricians (physicians
specializing in geriatric care), social workers, audiologists, and pharmacologists.
Recommendations are made to patients and referring practitioners to reduce
fall risk.

Low
Vision Clinic, Oklahoma City
The low vision
clinic includes occupational therapy services to improve function in individuals
with low vision. This clinic is held in conjunction with the ophthalmology
department within the Dean A. McGee Eye Institute.

Memory
Loss and Dementia Clinic
Oklahoma City
The Memory
Loss and Dementia Clinic is a multidisciplinary team of occupational
therapists, physical therapists, neurologists, geriatricians, psychiatrists,
and nurses to assure the correct diagnosis is made and appropriate long-term
management is provided for patients with memory loss and dementia. The
team thoroughly evaluates the symptoms, obtains needed laboratory and
imaging studies, and recommends appropriate medical treatment and long-term
management suited to the individual and family needs.

The purpose
of this clinic is to identify community-dwelling elders at risk for frailty
and to provide comprehensive examinations and referrals by geriatricians,
physical therapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists, social workers,
