General Instructions for Application

Thank you for your interest in the allied health programs at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. If you would like to be considered for admission, you must submit a completed application, fees, official transcripts, and test scores (if applicable) by the deadline date for each program.

ADVISEMENT
For assistance in determining your eligibility for admission, completing your application materials, or determining how to strengthen your application, please contact us to schedule an in-person or telephone advising appointment. APPLICATION DEADLINES
Each department posts their admission requirements and the application deadline on their website. Please go to Academic Programs website for more information on specific programs.

FINANCIAL AID
We encourage all students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on the web. Additional information may be found at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Financial Aid website at http://w3.ouhsc.edu/sfs/.

GRADUATE RECORD EXAM (GRE)
The GRE is required by some of the professional and graduate programs, and scores must be submitted prior to the application deadline. Please request an official GRE score from http://www.gre.org/getscore.html#addlscrreports and have it sent to the Office of Admissions and Records at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, P.O. Box 26901, Oklahoma City, OK 73126-0901. The OUHSC institution code is 6902.

TEST OF ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE (TOEFL)
All applicants from countries where English is the second language must take the TOEFL examination. This requirement includes all persons of international status, Permanent Residents of the U.S. (green card holders), and U.S. Naturalized citizens. If you have any questions as to if the test is required for you, please contact Elsa Higuchi in the Office of Admissions and Records at (405) 271-2347 ext-48906.  This test must be taken within two years of the date of application.  TOEFL scores that are older than two years cannot be verified and are NOT ACCEPTABLE.  Please go to the TOEFL website to obtain information and register for the exam.

OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS
Submit an official, sealed transcript prior to the application deadline. To be considered for admission, all transcripts and supporting documents must be received prior to the application deadline date.

AFTER SUBMISSION OF THE APPLICATION
Approximately 5-10 days after submission of the application, please check the application status view regularly at http://emcf.ouhsc.edu/cwcf/student_info/ApplicationStatus/ and verify that your transcripts and documents have been received, processed, and entered correctly.
