Video Capture of Classroom Lectures
Policies & Procedures

A. This is a policy to enable faculty to request video capture of classroom lecture. Advanced notice of 3 business days (72 hours) is required for all capture requests.

B. Appropriate criteria for video capture:
1. Content to be added to web-based course
2. Guest lectures
3. Content for continuing education
4. Faculty development (i.e. improving presentation skills, technique demonstration, etc)
5. Planned faculty absence
6. Planned student leave for medical reasons (i.e. surgery, child birth, injury, or infectious disease)

C. Inclement weather policy:
In case of serious inclement weather occurring in OKC or Tulsa, with or without campus closure, we will initiate video capture of all classroom lectures which are being videoconferenced.


Accessibility of lectures:
If requested below, lectures are posted on the web within 24 hours of capture
(The exception is Saturday captures which will be available by end of day the following Monday).

Additional Information:

PLEASE NOTE: For each capture request we will generate an email which goes to the course instructor. As the course instructor, you need to save that email until all the captures for that request are completed. If you have a change prior to completion of that capture request, we ask that you use that email to trigger a reply to the staff. we need the existing request corrected, NOT a new request. This will help them track which course and class period are being altered.
