"Robot" helps patients take first step on road to recovery June 1, 2005, delivered a beautiful evening to Oklahoma City and Jane Sholer was feeling fine. Hanging with her friends, the 21-year-old headed toward the apartment pool around 11 p.m. to celebrate the first swim of the summer. Jane stood at the water’s edge, closed her eyes and dived. |

Upon hearing of the woman's injury and the help the machine provided, a group of metro-area residents raised money to place one at the University of Oklahoma College of Allied Health.
