The Department of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences offers undergraduate baccalaureate degrees in the healing arts of medical imaging and therapy. We offer four distinct baccalaureate degree programs in radiography, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy and sonography. In addition to the regional accreditation of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, each of the traditional baccalaureate degree programs is programmatically accredited by their national accrediting agency;
In addition to the traditional baccalaureate degree programs, the Department also offers a B.S. in Radiation Sciences, online, non-clinical, post-professional degree that allows students to advance their degree while maintaining their current employment status. This program is intended for students who already hold a credential in nuclear medicine, radiography, radiation therapy or sonography but wish to obtain their baccalaureate degree.
The Medical Dosimetry program is a Master of Science degree in Allied Health Sciences with specialization in Medical Dosimetry, also accredited by JRCERT. The program is designed to provide registered radiation therapists with a B.S. degree or professionals with a B.S. science degree, an opportunity for advanced education, training and research. Graduates of the program are eligible to make application to the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB).
