This course will give the practicing physical therapist a working knowledge of the role that the pelvic floor musculature plays in lumbopelvic stability and how to include pelvic floor muscle training in an exercise program for lumbar spine rehabilitation. Information from this course will allow the physical therapist to ask pertinent screening questions to differentiate between mechanical low back pain and pain from pelvic organ prolapse and to determine when referral elsewhere is appropriate.
