Oklahoma State Department of Education, Assistive Technology
Program for Oklahoma Public Schools, July 1, 2006
- June 30, 2007 for a total of $449,692, serving
as Speech-language pathologist, 1.0 FTE as an Augmentative
and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Assistive
Technology (AT) Specialist, providing assistive technology
consultations, trainings, evaluations, and technical
support to Oklahoma Public Schools teachers, support
staff, and related service providers. This project
is funded by a collaborative program between the
Oklahoma State Department of Education and the Oklahoma
Assistive Technology Center, Department of Rehabilitation
Science, College of Allied Health, University of
Oklahoma Health Sciences Center to increase the knowledge
of school personnel in the provision of assistive
technology services to students with disabilities
and assist Oklahoma public schools in meeting the
assistive technology requirements of IDEA.
