State Department of Education contract. Provides
technical assistance to public schools through
classroom consultations, technical assistance,
and follow-up.
Provides Assistive Technology training programs
to develop local Assistive Technology resource
teams throughout the state, and to increase
the application and mastery level competencies
of service providers.
Disseminates information on Assistive Technology
to Oklahoma Public Schools, administrators,
educators, service providers, and parents.
Maintains an Assistive Technology loan program
to provide loan equipment for assessment purposes
and trial periods prior to purchase.

$449,692. Serves as Curriculum Technology
Specialist.
The program provides training and technical
assistance for teachers, support staff,
and related service providers to increase
the
knowledge of school personnel in the provision
of assistive technology services to students
with disabilities and assist Oklahoma public
schools in meeting the assistive technology
requirements of IDEA.
