    Topics in Physical Therapy - Pediatrics

    PT Pediatrics

    Students taking the American Physical Therapy Association's (APTA) home study course, Topics in Physical Therapy - Pediatrics can now receive two graduate credits from the University of Oklahoma. Course content includes examination, evaluation and documentation; evidence-based practice; the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act; fitness in children with disabilities; decision-making during treatment; clinical gait analysis; postural control disorders; management of spasticity; orthotic intervention; and developmental concepts for therapeutic intervention.

    The course is available to APTA members for a discounted price of $199; the nonmember price is $349.

    To receive credit, students must purchase the home study course from APTA and successfully complete a multiple-choice exam and a written assignment. The course is graded pass/fail.

    The cost to receive graduate credit currently is $365 (in addition to the cost for the course).
