The program of study for the Doctor of Science Degree with an emphasis in pediatrics includes four major components:
- Core course requirements
- Cognate area (courses in another department or area of study; for students receiving support from the U.S. Department of Education grant, this area must be special education or early childhood)
- Pediatric specialty area courses
- Advanced practice project
The table below outlines the minimum number of semester hours required for each component. The number of required credits varies depending on students’ highest level degree. Students with a postprofessional masters’ degree may apply up to 33 credits from the master’s degree to the DSc program. Students’ advisors must approve specific courses and any transfer credits.
