    • Two (2) years of professional experience is recommended; applicants with fewer than two years of experience will be considered on an individual basis.

    • A minimum of a 3.0 grade point average on the last 60 hours of undergraduate work or the last 12 hours of graded graduate coursework is required. Please note: in calculating grade point average, the entire semester in which the 60 or 12 hours fall is counted. The admission committee also will consider grades in individual courses that it considers to be important for success in the program.

    • A completed University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center application and official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended must be submitted. Application deadline for fall: July 1; spring: December 1; summer: May 1.

    • A Career Goal Statement, which includes a description of how the applicant expects the program to assist in meeting career goals, is required. The admissions committee will consider the quality of the statement, the compatibility of the applicant’s career goals with those of the program, and the availability of faculty with expertise in the applicant’s area(s) of interest.

    • Graduate Record Examination results. Most applicants admitted to the program have a minimum verbal score of 500 and a minimum quantitative score of 500.

    • Students for whom English is a second language must earn a minimum score of 600 (paper-based), 250 (computer-based), or 100 (internet-based) within two years prior to application on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
